5 things to do when you visit the North End
The online travel agency released a list of the 10 hottest “awayborhoods” travelers plan to visit next year, as part of its 2025 travel trends report, and included Boston’s North End.
An awayborhood is where travelers “live like locals, choosing the authentic vibes and activities of neighborhoods over the prepackaged charm of tourist-filled hotspots,” according to Priceline.
Sixty-nine percent of consumers will focus on domestic travel next year and 37 percent of them believe a neighborhood stay will affect their vacation experience, according to Priceline, so travelers will seek smaller awayborhoods within big cities.
Other awayborhoods on the list include the French Quarter in New Orleans, Capitol Riverfront in Washington, D.C., and Wynwood in Miami.
